Easy Pole Clamp-On Ground Resistance Tester with Super Slim Jaw (Wireless Adapter Z3210 not included)The FT6380-50 measures grounding resistance simply by clamping to multiple-grounded ground wires. No auxiliary grounding rod is needed, and there is no need to disconnect the ground wire from the grounding rod. The compact, low-profile sensor can be used to clamp ground wires with ease, and also provide AC current measurement functionality and can measure currents ranging from leakage current on the order of several mA to load currents of up to 60 A. Key FeaturesEasily transfer measurement data to your smartphone or tablet by using our free app GENNECT Cross or to an Excel® file. (Wireless Adapter Z3210 is necessary) Earth resistance measurement for multi-grounded systems Measure leak current with absolute certainty with highly sensitive 0.01 mA resolution (at 20.00 mA range) Measure load current up to 60.0 A range Clamp at the narrowest point Data can be downloaded to tablets and smartphones using Hioki’s dedicated free app "GENNECT Cross," available from the Google Play or App Store. Multiple grounding can be easily checked with the clamps. Measure multi-grounded systemsClamp on the earth cable. The instrument has two cores for voltage injection and current measurement. 1. The voltage transducer injects a defined voltage into the multi-grounded system. 2. From the defined voltage and measured current, the total circuit loop resistance is calculated in the following equation. Rx + 1/ [ (1/R1) + (1/R2) + (1/R3) + (1/R4) + ... ] = V/I In a typical multi-grounded system, the parallel resistance value is small enough to be ignored and the equation as referred on the left can be simulated as follows. Rx = V/I Clamp at the narrowest point! The dramatically slim 0.79 inch (20mm) jaws let you finish your job easily and efficiently. Easily transfer measurement data to an Excel® fileExcel® Direct Input function allows you to input measurement values directly and automatically into an Excel® file once the instrument's auto-hold function is activated. High-precision Portable Resistance Meter Measures from µ ohm to M ohmHioki DC resistance meters measure a broad range of resistance values at a high level of precision. The RM3548 is a high-precision, portable resistance meter capable of measuring resistance levels from microohms to megaohms, and is ideal for the testing and maintenance of large equipment, for example, measuring the winding and weld resistances in large motors and stators for hybrid and electric vehicles. Key Features0.02 % basic accuracy, 0.1 μohm max. Resolution, 1A max. Testing current Measure from 0.0 μohm (testing current 1 A) to 3.5 Mohm Easily record up to 1,000 data points in memory simply by applying the instrument’s probes Smoothly capture temperature-rise test data using interval measurement Portable design is ideal for maintenance and testing of large equipment Portable resistance tester that’s ideal for low-resistance measurement and testing of large transformers and motorsThis resistance tester features a portable design that’s easy to use when performing maintenance work in the field. You can wear the instrument over your neck with the included strap, leaving both hands free to hold the clip-type leads while making measurements. The instrument can be powered by eight AA alkaline batteries for about 10 hours of measurement. (Operating time varies with measurement conditions.) Reduce the effects of thermo electromotive force with the offset voltage correctionThermo electromotive force refers to the potential difference that occurs at junctions between different metals (see figure). Specifically, the phenomenon occurs where measurement probes and measurement targets come into contact, and at connections between measuring instruments and measurement leads. The magnitude of this thermo electromotive force varies with the temperature of the measurement environment, increasing as the temperature difference grows. The RM3548 includes an offset voltage correction function that applies the measurement current in both the positive and negative directions and then uses the resulting detected voltages to eliminate the effects of thermo electromotive force. Correct resistance values, which vary with temperature, to a reference temperature with the temperature correction functionTemperature correction functions can convert readings to resistance values at a user-specified reference temperature and display the results, even for materials such as copper wire whose resistance varies with temperature. The RM3548’s temperature correction function converts the measured resistance value Rt at the current temperature t to the resistance value Rt0 at the reference temperature t0, as shown in the figure. The Temperature Sensor Z2002 (which comes with the RM3548) is used to perform temperature correction. Product Video https://youtu.be/bIwSwWmTWkc |
